New Final Fantasy XIII details appear

  • It is possible to evade and counterattack
  • Lightning's weapon can morph into other weapons in battles. For example from gun to blade
  • You can score multiple hits on an enemy, or an enemy can have multiple targets
  • You can hit multiple enemies at once with specific attacks/weapons
  • It is possible to store multiple commands and execute them at once
  • There is no MP in the game, each spell/skill has a maximum number of use or require charging to use
  • The game seamlessly transition between field and battle scenes
  • In the field you can see the enemies, warning signs appear on enemies who aware of your presence
  • There is a Chain Bonus and Break Bonus system in the game, details unknown
  • You can visually see the enemy name and the HP in battle

Red Faction Maxes out Xbox 360 - Volition turn to Xbox 720

The power the 360 may not be as great as the PlayStation 3, but atleast it can still play games. But, once again it looks like another 09 title has, so called, "max out" the 360's disc power.

In an interview with Gameplayer, regarding Red Faction: Guerrilla, producer Rick White claims that they have maxed out the power of the Xbox 360 and have already starting looking towards the Xbox 720 for their other projects.

Rumor: Resident Evil 2 Remake being for the wii?

Now that the Wii is confirmed as the new home of violent hardcore gaming is the time right for a remake of good old Resi 2?

If the rumor is correct — and when has a random post on a Japanese fan site ever been wrong? — then we will be treated to a full Wii-ified remake, with some additional story elements. There will be a new 'swordsman' enemy (sword waggling minigame, anyone?) and 'Resident Evil 4 Viewpoints', which could mean anything - possibly 3rd-person over-the-shoulder stuff?

Rumor: Batman: Dark Knight Game Canned?


According to AustralianGamer, possibly the gaming industries worst kept secret has now been canned. Their article states that the Dark Knight video game has been canned by Pandemic Studios due to it running behind schedule. But, right now it's all early speculation, but most of the rumors of the Dark Knight video game basically pointed to fact that the game was or is sill in development.

Lag is “huge problem” for SFIV online


When speaking to OXM an interview SFIV producer, Yoshinori Ono, said that the console version of SFIV has some lag problems.

“Obviously, lag will be a huge problem for online play,” he continues “We’re working on it. Compared to other games such as Virtua Fighter and Soul Calibur, they’ve got replay functions and so forth. It’s quite difficult for 3D Street Fighter at the moment.”

With the fact that Grand Theft Auto IV has sold more on Xbox 360 than PlayStation 3, a press release issued by Microsoft proclaimed, “Xbox 360 generates more dollars at retail for third party publishers.”

Ninja Gaiden II European Release Date
